Position – Manufacturing Manager
Job Description
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the Production operations of Famti manufacturing
establishment , under the direction of Head Operations.
Job duties
A. Support erection , commissioning and start up of 1 Metallizer unit and 3 Slitters .
B. Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labour and equipment to meet
production targets
C. Plan and manage the establishment of departmental budget
D. Develop production schedules and maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products
E. Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of
work
F. Direct quality control inspection system and develop production reporting procedures
G. Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines
H. Supervise and train employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques.
Skills/Qualifications
A. Proven operational and manufacturing experience in CPG industry with experience in TPM-
Total productive maintenance, 5S, Lean, 6 Sigma tools and concepts.
B. Strong coaching and leadership skills in a team-based environment.
C. Maintain effective communication with all personnel and departments.
D. Being a team player with ability and willingness to learn from working as a hands-on member of
a team
E. Effective problem-solving skills, results oriented
F. Able to remain focused while working in stressful situation.
Education and Experience
A. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical or Electronics .
B. Minimum 10 years of experience within a manufacturing environment, in erection as well as
operations involving Metallizers (BOBST preferred) as well as Slitters.
C. Proven ability to provide technical support to clients for existing as well as new products
development.
Working Conditions
A. Physical-Continuously standing or walking. Lifting moderate weights occasionally.
B. Mental Stress- Continuous requirement for decisive action. A firm and resolute attitude is
required, especially with respect to the enforcement of and adherence to departmental
operating procedures.

Responsibilities
Tasks
1. Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment
2. Weigh resins, colorants and other chemicals according to formulae
3. Monitor and inspect quality of material produced
4. Place weighed materials in mixing machines
5. Pack items for shipping and distribution
6. Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die
7. Change dies on extruding machines according to production line change
8. Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line change
9. Computer numerical control (CNC) machines
